TAT

The Tapas Acupressure Technique® is an energy psychology technique that promotes inner peace, relaxation, vibrant health and empowerment by placing your attention on whatever the issue is and touching a few specific acupuncture points on your face and at the back of your head.It is currently the subject of research with the US army for PTSD and has been shown to be effective in supporting weight loss (click here for more information).

I guide and teach this practice for clients who want a simple, empowering tool for on-the-spot ease from any situation or experience they find troubling.

I personally have used TAT with great success for relief from my own claustrophobia and nervousness riding a horse, among other things. Originally, TAT seemed too easy and airy-fairy to be of any value. I was moved to learn about it through exposure to a fellow holistic practitioner whom I met in a Focusing training. Just this week, I enjoyed the fruits of TAT when I was delightfully surprised to enter and sit in a teeny “tin can” prop plane with total ease. I frequently use TAT at night to allow the events of the day to flow through my organism as preparation for sleep. TAT is also valuable to me as a tool for integrating or reinforcing positive changes or insights that come to me through other practices.
